College diploma next step for Education Champion

A college diploma is now in sight for Elisha Delottinville, one of this year’s Education WORKS Champions.

A sole support parent, Elisha was able to earn her Grade 12 diploma and is currently a student at Conestoga College.

“She started off with numerous required credits and after a lot of hard work, drive and determination,” achieved her Grade 12 in a short time period, said Elisha’s nominator Courtney Montgomery of Ontario Works.

“Elisha was always looking at ways she could achieve her goals by taking the most appropriate and straight route.”

At the same time, she completed LEAP, the Learning, Earning and Parenting program. “Elisha burned the candle at both ends so she could achieve her grade 12 and also secure herself a spot at college.”
