2016 Education Champions

In our 5th year of celebrating our community's Education Champions, 24 hard-working Grand Erie residents were profiled.

Our Champions had to overcome obstacles on their journey. They had to find the confidence, mental determination, money and time to go back to school or pursue their learning goals. Like most adult learners, pursuing education for our Champions also required finding time to study while also supporting and raising a family. But they found a way.

Every Champion said the sacrifices they had to make was worth it - worth it for them and their families, since they became stronger through their experience.

The ‘Class of 2016’ demonstrate that finding the courage to try pays off.
