2017 Education Champions

The year 2017 represents the 6th year in a row that we've recognized Education Champions from Brant, Brantford, Haldimand, Norfolk, New Credit and Six Nations.

A total of 19 people were 2017 Education Champions, and each one of them can feel proud that they achieved their education and learning goal.

For some Champions, that goal was to go back to school and get their Grade 12 or equivalent, as they realized that this is essential to build a career. Other Champions achieved their dream of going to college or university; in some cases, they were the first in their families to do so.

We also have examples of Champions who have shown a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning: they have a desire to learn new things and add to their skills to become better employees and people.

All Champions have overcome obstacles and challenges along the way, and provide inspiration to other people in our community.
